Meet Devon McCole - The Newest Well Wisdom Sponsored Competitive Fitness Athlete!
My fitness Journey began in 9th grade when I broke my collar bone playing basketball and was told I needed to add more muscle to my frame to prevent it from happening again. I joined the local gym and began working out with my mom. A year later I signed up for my school's weight lifting class and the rest is history. Ever since I've been a complete gym rat and the go to guy for my friends and their fitness questions. I competed in my first men's physique competition in 2008 in Mesa, AZ and placed 3rd. Halfway through college I decided to get certified as a personal trainer and fell even more in love with the fitness industry and helping others achieve their fitness goals. I took a few years off from competing to focus on school, but now that I have graduated and am working full time at a gym I am ready to get back into competing. Competing for me is not only a way to showcase all my hard work, but also a way to help motivate my clients and be a role model for people who are thinking about using all these supplements full of chemicals to achieve their dream physique. I have people ask me everyday what kind of supplements I'm taking and it blows their mind when I reply with Well Wisdom's all natural protein products. Over the years my goals have changed from wanting to achieve my dream body at all costs to wanting to achieve it in the healthiest way possible without putting my health at risk. Workout Routines and Supplement Use
Over the years my workout routines have changed drastically. I used to care all about size and strength and nothing else. Throughout the years I've learned the importance of achieving overall fitness in not only strength, but flexibility, endurance, and power. I used to be able to lift a ton of weight but could barely run a mile or survive a full basketball game. These days I not only workout in the gym, but attend yoga weekly, go hiking, rock climbing, or just about anything active that comes my way. My gym workouts consist mostly of circuits and more cross fit style workouts to maintain a lean physique. I usually choose 2 body parts to workout each day I'm in the gym. My workouts will typically only consist of 1-2 strength sets (pyramid style) for each body part followed by 3-4 circuits with 3 exercises in each set. As a men's physique competitor and fitness model there is no bulking phase and it is important to stay lean year round. This style of training helps me achieve that while still improving my strength along with all other categories of fitness.
I use Well Wisdom's products everyday to help get me closer to my goals. I'll usually take 1 serving of Glut Immune and 2 servings of Vital Whey 30-45 minutes before training. Following training I'll take another 2 servings of Vital Whey, 1 serving of Glut Immune, and 1 serving of Bioactive Colostrum to help aid in repair and recovery. I usually tend to train at night, but if my workout takes place earlier in the day I'll also take Vital Whey before bed and with breakfast as well.
