Testosterone is one of the body’s many sex hormones. While it is usually associated with men’s health, women actually have small amounts of testosterone as well. Unbalanced testosterone can cause a variety of health concerns.

While the best place to start managing your hormones is by talking to your healthcare provider, there is a lot you can do with your diet to help support your testosterone levels. One way is by making this delicious smoothie for increased testosterone.

Our smoothie recipe for testosterone support includes a variety of veggies, blueberries, nuts, and whey protein. These ingredients create a delicious testosterone recipe rich in antioxidants, health promoting phytonutrients, and hormone balancing nutrients.

It includes blueberries, one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. Blueberries contain both resveratrol and calcium-D-glucarate, essential for hormone balance.

Our Vital Whey protein is rich in immunoglobulins and lactoferrin to help support the immune system and help the body fight outside stressors that can lower testosterone.

We also added some hormone-balancing green veggies to our testosterone boosting smoothie. Bok choy and celery are essential to boosting testosterone production due to their nutrient content.

The body needs healthy fats to make hormones. We included coconut oil and Brazil nuts in the testosterone boosting smoothie to provide a hefty dose of fat, but also anti-inflammatory nutrients like MCT oils and selenium that help balance testosterone.

Finally we included Maca, a Peruvian root that helps block excess estrogen, while boosting testosterone.

This hormone-balancing, nutrient-rich smoothie can be used for both women and men to support healthy testosterone levels.

Serving size: 1 Shake

First add your coconut water or other liquid.  Drop in your maca powder and the olive oil.

In a blender or food processor, liquify the brazil nuts, berries celery and bok choy. Once all have been liquified, add in the whey powder for a brief mix setting.

Once blended and mixed, combine both the coconut water mixture with the veggies and whey, placing everything in a shaker bottle. Shake thoroughly and drink immediately.
